Description: We are hosting a TEA PARTY for all of our princesses (and princes if they would like to attend). Come dressed for tea and be sure to bring your favorite “fuzzy friend” (stuffed animal). At the end of the tea party, your “fuzzy friend” will participate in a sleepover at Leftovers, etc. On Saturday afternoon, each princess and prince will pick up their “fuzzy friend” and receive pictures of all the fun things that their “fuzzy friend” did throughout the night. Who knows what mischief your “friend” will get involved with in the middle of the night when everyone is supposed to be sleeping.

Kevin Dobbins, owner of “Amazing Animals” will be bringing his “zoo” of reptiles and insects for a visit to Leftovers, etc. Learn about the origins of the reptiles and insects; how they hunt and look for food; how they catch their food and in many cases, how they camouflage and defend themselves. He will have a wide array of insects and lizards for you to touch, study and hold. It’s the beginning of a new year, and we have Spring and Summer ahead of us. We’ve been studying “wild animals” all month; so this is your chance to see some that are a little closer to home.

NOVEMBER 11, 2010 – 1:00-2:30

We have made arrangements for a group to visit the Boeing Prologue Room as a culmination of our Missouri studies. Ending the series with Charles Lindbergh and the Spirit of St. Louis lends itself to a tour to a very exciting location that discusses how airplanes were developed in the early years and how spacecraft are developed today. This should be a very fun time for everyone.

Here are the groundrules

They accept between 25-30 children at a time. They prefer that the students be in 4th grade and above; however, I have asked that any age child that participates in our program be allowed to participate. They are agreeable, as long as an adult is with each younger child or sibling.

We will meet at Leftovers and leave no later than 12:15. Everyone should have completed their lunch by this time.

We will need volunteers with cars and vans and have a caravan to Boeing. The program is 1 ½ hours long at which time we will return to Leftovers in the same cars and vans that we left in.

ADVANCE RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED

COST:

$3.00 PER CHILD FOR HOME TEAM MEMBERS

$6.00 PER CHILD FOR NON-MEMBERS

PARENTS FREE

IF WE HAVE MORE THAN THE ALLOTTED NUMBER OF CHILDREN PARTICIPATING, I HAVE MADE ARRANGEMENTS WITH BOEING TO TAKE A SECOND GROUP FOR A VISIT.
