Trash to Art & Folk Art Classes
This page is under development while we build our show schedule.
- Art
classes are held monthly for school-aged children or adults.
- To
view the artists and the medium in which they will provide
instruction please refer to our “Upcoming
Art Activities” page.
- Student
Art Shows will be scheduled in our Student Art Gallery at
the discretion of the participating artist.
- Art
shows will be promoted to the local media. Art pieces will
be on display for a period of two weeks.
- The
“art show” will be preceded by an opening reception and
award ceremony that is attended by parents and friends of
the students displaying their art pieces.
- Art majors from
local Universities and Colleges are invited to fulfill their
internship requirements by offering their services.
- Professional
and non-professional artists are being sought who would
be interested in teaching a class based on their specialty.
- Professional
and non-professional crafters are welcome to offer classes
in their area of expertise.
- If you are a
student or instructor who is interested in conducting a
class for Leftovers, etc., please contact our learning
center and ask to be connected to the Executive
Director.
- Seeking artists
who are interested in sharing their talents teaching paper
making, collage, trash to art, sculpture, masks, culture-inspired
arts (African or native American), etc.
- Instructors
will determine the price for the classes they are providing.
- Classes to
be held monthly with the exception of December
- Date and time
will be determined by the instructor
- Class will be
promoted to the local news media
Advanced
reservations required one week prior to the scheduled class.
